Monterey Park is known for a lot of things: good dim sum, a large asian population, the best steamed dumplings. It’s probably not known for being: developed as the “Bel Air of the East”, the site of the first sealed bag of potato chips, Heritage Falls Park AKA “The Cascades”
I’ve always passed this park on Atlantic Blvd, but had never really stopped to see the blue waterfall coming down the hill. Biking back to LA from lunch with my family, I decided to detour and check it out. Next time: inner tube.
