drunk run club II

Eagle Rock Edition. On a hot hot day. With Abel, Donald, Joyce, Adria, and Judson. We started at the York on York. As you can tell from these 10 feet tall chalkboard menus, its a fancy place. I ordered some grilled bread - which was toast & butter. Though i’m not complaining; it was the best toast i’ve had in a while.

After a couple of beers, took a quick jog up York to Eagle Rock Blvd, and All Star Lanes for some afternoon bowling.

Though the bar was not open yet, the restaurant gladly served us pitchers of Shock Top. Yes, the Chinese restaurant. Inside the Bowling Alley.

Judson won!

We then headed back to York Blvd, where Johnny’s Bar was finally opening up for the day. We kicked it with some locals for a bit. Good ol dive feel. You most likely would not find the same crowd at the York, though they are a few doors down from each other.

After a few beers, Donald and I saddled up while the rest of the crew drove (soberly), and headed back to Eagle Rock Blvd, towards San Fernando Road, to the Eagle Rock Brewery. It was surprisingly packed, which is hard to tell from the outside since it’s on a small street. Great beer brewed on site, and great Costco, mass produced pretzels.

All-in-all, 4.8 miles. 4 bars/breweries/bowling alleys.
